Parging Replacement Edmonton
When a wall needs more than a clear localized repair, we usually recommend recoating it from corner to corner.
That gives the wall one consistent finish and puts the entire recoated wall under our 30-year transferable warranty, subject to the written terms and exclusions.

Redo the Wall Corner to Corner
Unless the issue is a clear localized repair, we generally prefer to recoat the entire wall from corner to corner. That gives the work a defined stopping point and avoids leaving a patchwork of old and new areas across the same wall.
For homeowners, the biggest advantages are a more consistent appearance and warranty coverage across the entire wall we recoated.
We usually recommend a full-wall recoat when:
We Recoat the Whole Wall, but We Do Not Remove Sound Parging for No Reason
We remove loose, hollow and delaminated parging and mechanically prepare the surface. Sound, firmly bonded parging can remain where it provides a suitable base after preparation.
The entire included wall is then recoated from corner to corner so the final surface reads as one continuous finish.

Consistent Finish Starts with Proper Preparation
The wall is treated as one complete scope from preparation through final texture.
Assess
Review the wall, identify failed areas and confirm the corner-to-corner scope.
Remove Failed Material
Remove loose, hollow and delaminated parging while retaining suitable bonded areas.
Prepare & Reinforce
Clean and prepare the substrate and reinforce cracks or transitions where required.
Recoat Corner to Corner
Apply new cementitious parging continuously across the complete included wall.
Texture & Cure
Hand-finish the wall consistently and allow normal cementitious curing to continue.
One Wall, One Finish
Recoating corner to corner gives the entire wall the same fresh cementitious finish and avoids leaving multiple new patches surrounded by older weathered parging.
The Entire Recoated Wall Is Covered
When we redo a wall corner to corner as qualifying warranty work, the whole recoated wall is included in our 30-year transferable warranty coverage, subject to the written terms and exclusions.
Movement and Drainage
New parging renews the exterior finish, but it does not stop structural movement or correct drainage, grading or waterproofing problems. Those conditions may require separate correction.
30-Year Transferable Warranty
Qualifying full-wall parging work is backed by our 30-year transferable warranty. When the wall is recoated corner to corner, the entire recoated wall is included in that coverage, subject to the written terms and exclusions.
Frequently Asked Questions About Parging Replacement
Why do you redo the whole wall instead of patching several spots?
Once the work is more than a clear localized repair, recoating the wall corner to corner gives a consistent finished surface and puts the entire recoated wall under our warranty coverage.
Do you remove every bit of old parging?
No. We remove loose, hollow and delaminated material. Sound, well-bonded parging can remain where it provides a suitable prepared base before the full wall is recoated.
When would you do a localized repair instead?
Clear isolated work such as a crack, redoing the parging around a basement window or a beam-pocket breakout can be suitable for localized repair.
How long does new parging take to cure?
Cementitious parging continues to cure after it has set and reaches full cure over approximately 28 days. Normal colour variation during curing is expected.
Is the entire recoated wall covered by warranty?
Yes. When the wall is recoated corner to corner as qualifying warranty work, the entire recoated wall is included in our 30-year transferable warranty coverage, subject to the written terms and exclusions.
